P12 - Caucasus University - CU

The history of Caucasus University goes back to 1998 when with US government funding and in cooperation with Georgia State University, the Caucasus School of Business (CSB) was established. Thus, the implementation of the first western-style education was launched in Georgia. Before long, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. academic programs were started. It was in 2004 when the first private education institution - Caucasus University - was founded on the basis of the Caucasus School of Business.
Currently, Caucasus University has 10 schools (faculties): the School of Business (CSB), the School of Law (CSL), the School of Media (CSM), the School of Technology (CST), the School of Governance (CSG), the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (CSH), the School of Tourism (CTS), the School of Medicine and Healthcare Management (CMS), the School of Economics (CES) and the School of Education (CES).
Caucasus University aims to prepare professionals committed to the values of democracy and ethical norms and in this way contribute to society’s progress and knowledge-sharing. Most of the programs offered by the University are designed by taking into account successful international practices.
CU is Authorized and holds Accreditations for all its programs by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia (EQE). In 2020 Caucasus Tourism School obtained UNWTO TEDQUAL Certificate for Programs in Tourism. Caucasus School of Business is in the final stage of AACSB accreditation. University is a member of many different professional organizations and networks such as UNAI CEEMAN, IAUP, IAU, NIBES, NISPAcee, ELFA, WAAC, BSUN etc.
CU is an internationally active university with a number of students/staff exchanges, double and joint degree programs together with the leading universities worldwide. CU cooperates with 90 universities around the World based on partnership agreements and MoUs.

 

Role in the Project

Representatives of CU will be actively involved in the implementation of the HERD project through introducing the RM software, registering its research staff in Online Research Portal, attending the workshops and trainings in Georgia and abroad, serving on the Steering Committee of the project and participating in the management of the project as necessary and defined by the proposal. CU will lead the WP on creating promo materials and will contribute greatly to the dissemination of the information on the HERD project to its academic community and the wider public.
