P12 - Caucasus University - CU

CU was established in 2004 on the basis of Caucasus School of Business (CSB), which was founded in partnership with Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta, U.S.A. in 1998. It is one of the most prominent private HEIs in Georgia and the South Caucasus offering high quality education in its nine schools: Business, Law, Media, Information Technology, Governance, Humanities, Truism, Economics and Healthcare and Cinema.


CU was granted International Quality Accreditation by Central and Eastern European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) in 2005 and Institutional reauthorization and reaccreditation by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia in 2014.  CU is the member of CEEMAN, IAUP, IAU, NIBES, ELFA, BMDA, EFMD etc. as well as many other international and local networks.


CU is an internationally active university with number of students/staff exchanges, double and joint degree programs together with the leading universities worldwide. CU cooperates with 90 universities around the world based on the partnership agreements and MoUs. The main areas of cooperation are: Student exchanges, faculty exchanges, double and joint degree programs, international Projects/ Grant Projects, joint research etc.


CU major emphasis is on continuous scientific research and advancement. Hence, the Scientific Department is the arm that manages and conducts the bulk of conceptual and empirical research at CU. The aim of the academic department is to analyze research priorities and conduct appropriate studies so as to improve comprehension of the role and impact of corporate business on the society and environment and to develop managerial solutions to emerging problems. Scientific Department actively cooperates with various international and local organizations and conducts research as part of many global projects. The activities of the department also include organization of annual scientific and various international conferences, which attract experts from all over the world.

Role in the Project


Representatives of CU will be actively involved in the implementation of the HERD project through introducing the RM software, registering its research staff in Online Research Portal, attending the workshops and trainings in Georgia and abroad, serving on the Steering Committee of the project and participating in the management of the project as necessary and defined by the proposal. CU will lead the WP on creating promo materials and will contribute greatly to dissemination of the information on the HERD project to its academic community and wider public.
