Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted a workshop through HERD project

On 7th of July, 2021 Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted a workshop through the EU funded Ka2 capacity building project “HERD - Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units”. Participants of the workshop were the coordinator of the HERD project, TSU vice-rector Nino Okriblashvili, HERD project manager at Batumi state University – Natia Tsiklashvili, representatives of the faculties and contact persons from the Research Department of the Regional University. HERD project goals is to enhance R&D capacity in universities that will facilitate the growth and integrity of the research potential locally and internationally. The project is supported by the policies, mechanism and tools that help contribute to accessibility of data on existing research infrastructure, human resources, ongoing research projects, innovation capacity and tech-transfer potential in HEIs in Georgia. This is a structural measure national project involving 12 research-intensive Georgian HEIs, 3 EU universities, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia [MES], Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia [SRNSFG], and associated partners – National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement [NCEQE], Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency [GITA], National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia - Saqpatenti.
